Before creating Jewtopia in 2003, Bryan Fogel was an unemployed actor and writer, working odd jobs and just trying to catch a break. Finally wanting to take matters into his own hands, he wrote Jewtopia with his long time friend Sam Wolfson, racked his credit card with debt, and mounted the production in Los Angeles. Jewtopia went on to become the longest running original theatrical comedy in Los Angeles history. The show moved to off-Broadway in New York City in September, 2004 and recouped its investment in record time. Jewtopia went on to become the longest running comedy in off-Broadway history, playing 1200 performances and productions have been opened all over the world including the current revival in Los Angeles that opened in June 2010 that Fogel directed. www.jewtopiaplay.com.
