Audiences across the country have been entertained by the comic energy of Fogel and Wolfson, who are now taking their hilarious theatrical antics and fame onto the speaking circuit. Their brainchild, Jewtopia, is one of the most successful off-Broadway comedies of all-time prompting the New York Times to hail it as "Unstoppable! One of the biggest and most improbable hits!" Their newly released full color, illustrated book, Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People (September, 2006) is poised to become one of the bestselling Jewish humor books of all time.
Presentation Outline:
Bryan and Sam present their hilarious, sometimes irreverent (please mom, don't take it personally) and always highly entertaining presentation. Be prepared for an evening filled with non-stop laughter and outrageous fun as the creators and stars of the hit show and book take center stage!
For this very special performance Bryan and Sam combine scenes from their show, stand-up comedy, excerpts from their book and a dazzling multimedia presentation to craft an outrageously funny, one of a kind event!
After bringing down the house with laughter, Bryan and Sam open the floor up to a Q & A where inevitably the first question is, "Are you guys single? I have a beautiful daughter I want to introduce you to."
History:
Before creating Jewtopia in 2003, Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson were unemployed actors and writers, working odd jobs and just trying to catch a break. Finally wanting to take matters into their own hands, they wrote Jewtopia, racked their credit cards with debt, and mounted the production themselves. Jewtopia went on to become the longest running original theatrical comedy in Los Angeles history. The show moved to off-Broadway in New York City in September, 2004 and recouped its investment in record time. Jewtopia went on to become the longest running comedy in off-Broadway history and productions are now opening all over the world.
Fogel and Wolfson's book, Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People, published by Warner Books, is now available in stores nationwide. With it's irreverent over-the-top style, 224 fully illustrated pages and appeal to Jews and Gentile young and old, their book is poised to become a major bestseller and the must have humor book for every household.
Fogel and Wolfson's are in pre-production on their completed film adaptation of JEWTOPIA (O'Connell and Lispchitz Lose their Religion), which the two are attached to star in. The film is being produced by Tucker Tooley, exec. produced by Jewtopia's original director Andy Fickman and will be directed by Tony-Winner John Rando (Urinetown).
